Freelance illustrator based in Madrid

Daniel was born, raised and lived most of his life in Madrid (Spain) but after the pandemic closure he and his couple decided to move to Seville because they wanted to live in a city close to the beach and the mountains, where a senior dog could enjoy walking and that is well connected to Madrid by train.
He is a self-taught illustrator who is inspired by cinema and graphic novels, is obsessed with form and color, loves to make humor and seeks the middle ground between minimalist and baroque.
He works digitally and likes to work in Photoshop although he also handles Illustrator and Procreate and likes to explore other media using Blender, Procreate Dreams and Moho
He has worked for national and international newspapers and magazines such as Financial Times, Monocle, Faith Today, BBC Science Focus, El País or El Mundo among others.
Among his greatest successes are the recognition of his work in the illustration contests 3x3mag, Society of illustrators, Booooooooom and Ijungle, his tortilla de patatas and making a living drawing.
He swears that at some point he will finish philosophy and become a rock star, not necessarily in that order.
